About this trigram

Earth (Kun) is the receptive, pure yin, the yielding ground. Every Gene Key is built from two trigrams, one above the other. When Earth sits on top it colours how the key meets the world; when it sits below it colours where the key begins. Sixteen of the sixty-four keys carry it, eight above and eight below.
